Living on the Edge of a Broken Heart

The request for this painting was very specific …..”All you need is Love” however, Love is not always hearts, roses and Cupid. Many have experienced “Living on the Edge of a Broken Heart.

Music and Art are indeed a powerful medium for expressing and exploring emotions, including the pain and turmoil of a broken heart.

Using music as inspiration to evoke emotions and create art is a common and powerful technique for many artists. Music can serve as a source of inspiration, setting the mood, tone, and emotional atmosphere for the creative process. By listening to songs that resonate with the emotions they want to capture, artists can tap into a deeper level of expression and authenticity in their work.

Music has a way of transcending language and directly connecting to our emotions , making it a valuable tool for sparking creativity and channeling specific feelings into art. Whether it's a melancholic melody, an upbeat rhythm, or a hauntingly beautiful tune, different genres and styles of music can evoke a wide range of emotions and inspire artists to create pieces that reflect those feelings.

By immersing themselves in music that resonates with their emotions, artists can access a rich source of inspiration that can help them convey the depth and complexity of human experiences in their art. This interplay between music and visual art can result in powerful and evocative creations that touch the hearts and souls of viewers.

The link below is the music that sparked the emotions I needed to put on canvas.

All you need is love is NOT all about old love, new love ballads. I believe we all live or have lived on the Edge of Love.

Hair metal bands were all over the place in 1988, but Vixen was the only all-female group in that genre to score a hit that year. Like their male counterparts, they delivered slick power pop and rocked a look that involved big hair, spandex, and garish makeup. They didn't look all that different from the guys.
