Dear Friends & Supporters, A dim light seems to be appearing at the end of a very long tunnel for some of us, but it has been difficult few months for our team. After a good fight, our vendor and partner in India, Mr. Gupta, lost his battle with COVID. It has also been difficult for the children we serve, as aid for them has decreased considerably. Several of our partnering organizations requested additional essential supplies and YOUR support made it possible to lean in and do more! Impact report to date....YOU made it possible to serve over 1,600 children, providing:
~ 1,400+ hygiene items (masks, sanitizer, toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, & sanitary pads) ~ 21,000 diapers; 23,000 wipes, and 60 pounds of baby formula ~ 9,200 pounds of rice, flour, lentils, oatmeal, cooking oil ~ over 200 items of clothing and 50 pairs of shoes ...and YOUR support helped us complete projects with some great organizations:
In Orlando, we are now partnering with Harbor House, Early Learning Coalition of Orange County and the Teen Mom program, providing diapers, wipes, baby formula --- THE MOST expensive & needed items! These along with serving children at Ivey Lane and West Oaks elementary schools providing hygiene packets in February and sweatshirts in the fall.
In New York, we partnered with Seneca & Freeman House shelters to provide 40,000 diapers and wipes!
Because of YOUR support, we can fulfill the needs of the most vulnerable with love and kindness. Our story started with $10 and it is the collective effort of so many that makes our work possible & purposeful. Watch my $10 story!
I call on you again to include us in your 2021 giving plan and also to support our "Climbing Kili for Kids" fundraiser (see details below) where John and I attempt to summit the tallest free standing mountain in the world! Every dollar of your net donation we receive is used to fulfill the needs of the children, as administrative expenses are covered by our board members and all travel expenses are borne by the traveler (we pay our own way to Kilimanjaro!).
Your support inspires us!
