I've got to spill the beans about my love for Springtime and Easter, all thanks to those heavenly Hot Cross Buns! Let me tell you, the smell of those freshly baked buns whisks me away to memories of my mom, Audrey, slaving over them in the kitchen. She wasn't doing it for religious reasons, but just to celebrate the arrival of spring. Ah, Audrey, she packed a whole lot of love and joy into her 42 years on this earth, a story I'll have to share another time.
When my pals Jimmy and Shawn invited me to their Easter Egg Hunt, I didnned my best Easter outfit and joined in the fun. It was a riot watching kids and adults mingle, not to mention the hilarious encounters between the little ones and the Easter Bunny.

As I sat back, pleasantly full from devouring four Hot Cross Buns (who's counting, right?), I got curious about the history behind these tasty treats. So, I did a little digging and stumbled upon a fascinating article in Gourmet Magazine that spilled the beans on the buns' origins. The history of the hot cross bun.
I've also got some links to share that made this day a real blast, including some great music to infuse your reading pleasure. 🎉🐣🌷
EnJOY,
Margie.
